BOHS Career Technical Education (CTE) Internship
The CTE Internship is a paid or unpaid work experience in the public or private sector that provides for workplace learning in an area of student career interest. During the internship, students are exposed to various aspects of a particular industry or career cluster area. An internship contract is signed by the student, parent, and employer/supervisor outlining the expectations for each party. The employer/supervisor serves as the CTE Internship Advisor. The CTE Internship Advisor cannot be a parent/guardian or other immediate family member. This course is open to students in good standing, either during the summer before their senior year or during their senior year. Sixty hours of experience at the worksite is required for each increment of five elective credits and the internship is graded credit (CR) or no credit (NC). Please see Mrs. Brandi Augenstein, Career Counseling Coordinator for more information and internship approval.
