Reporting an Absence

Parents/guardians have several options for reporting an all-day student absence:

• Call the Attendance Office: 714-990-7850

  • Last names A–L: Extension 1227

  • Last names M–Z: Extension 1228

  • You may speak with a staff member or leave a message.

• Email: bohsattendance@bousd.us (NEW)

• Call or Text: 714-510-2771 (NEW) This is a virtual line and no human will ever answer

For security purposes, texts, calls, and emails will only be accepted from phone numbers and email addresses listed for the parent/guardian in Aeries.

When reporting an absence, please provide your student's first and last name, grade, student ID number, and reason for the absence.

Need to Pick Up Your Student During the School Day?
If you need to have your student released from class due to an emergency, please contact the Main Office at 714-990-7850.
