Brea Olinda High School’s award-winning Mock Trial program was celebrated at the recent Constitutional Rights Foundation Orange County Awards Ceremony, where students and coaches received some of the organization’s highest honors.
BOHS students Maia Hammel and Dara Aung-Pfingsten were recognized for their exceptional performances during the Mock Trial season. Maia earned honors as a standout pretrial attorney, while Dara was recognized for excellence as a witness. With more than 1,000 students from across Orange County participating in the annual competition, these recognitions place them among the county’s top student competitors.
In addition to the student honors, BOHS attorney coaches Hon. Bryan Clavecilla and James Voge, Esq., were named Attorney Coaches of the Year for their outstanding leadership, mentorship, and dedication to student success.
The BOHS Mock Trial program, known for its commitment to academic excellence, critical thinking, public speaking, and civic engagement, continues to provide students with real-world experiences in law and the justice system. Through countless hours of preparation, collaboration, and competition, students develop the confidence and skills needed for success both inside and outside the courtroom.
