General Information:
  • Tickets will be provided to graduates for their families – eight (8) per graduate. Seniors will receive their tickets following the
    Senior meeting on June 5 providing the student has no school debts or graduation obligations. In the event of inclement weather, the commencement exercises may be moved to the BOHS main gym and only the four (4) “RAIN” tickets will be honored. All 8 tickets will be honored at Wildcat Stadium.
    Everyone attending graduation must have a ticket. Children age 3 and above will require a ticket.
  • One or two extra admission tickets may be requested by graduating seniors on a google request form beginning May 28 and will be on a first come basis. More information regarding this will be sent through student school Gmail accounts.
 
Caps and Gowns:
  • Caps and gowns will be distributed during the senior meeting on June 5th, if all student debts and graduation obligations have been cleared.
  • Caps and gowns may be purchased from SoCalGrad on-line at www.socalgrad.com until the end of May.
  • Purchases made after Wednesday June 5, must be made at the So Cal grad’s office located at 4879 E. La Palma Ave. #205, Anaheim.
    The cap and gown purchased for graduation is yours to keep. If you have other children in the family who will be graduating from the
    high school, we encourage you to save the cap and gown set for them. However, if you would like to donate yours you may drop it off at the activities office.
 
Commencement Photos:
  • We have made arrangements for a special graduation photo. South Coast Photographic will photograph each graduate as they receive their diploma. Information on how to view and order this photo will be included in the student’s diploma envelope. Or you can go to www.southcoastphotographic.com.
 
Parking at Graduation:
  •  Parking on campus will be by parking pass only. Each graduating senior will receive one parking pass at our June 5th meeting.

Guidance Information:
  • Any student who lacks the required 230 credits or has not completed all graduation requirements will not be allowed to participate in the
    graduation ceremony.
  • Graduation Status: If you have any questions relating to current grades, please contact your student’s teacher directly. If you have questions regarding the graduation status of your student, please call the Guidance Office at (714) 990-7850 ext. 1214. Parents of seniors who may be in danger of failing one or more classes at the time of the third quarter grading period will be notified by mail. Students have been notified in person. As always, check the parent portal to keep abreast of your student’s current grades.
  • Transcript Requests: All seniors planning to attend college must request a transcript directly at www.parchment.com. Parchment will send their transcript to the college indicated once final grades are posted.
    Questions regarding transcripts may be directed to our Registrar at (714) 990-7850 ext. 1217.
    Parents and students are encouraged to speak directly to their teachers regarding their academic status in each course.
 
Lost books, equipment and other debts:
  • It is the student’s responsibility to “clear” his/her record prior to graduation. An updated list of student debts and students who need to serve detention or Saturday school will be available in the activities office and at several locations around campus and will be updated regularly. Students are not allowed to take final exams until they turn in appropriate textbooks to teachers.
 
 
Thursday June 13, 2019 - Graduation Day:
7:30 a.m. - Mandatory Commencement Practice at Wildcat Stadium.
Those who miss practice will not be permitted to participate in commencement. At the conclusion of rehearsal, students will receive their High School diploma (if they do not have any debts) and grad nite T-shirt.
Dismissal time is approximately 10:00 a.m. Graduates are free for the remainder of the day.
4:45 p.m. - Graduates are to arrive to line up at the varsity baseball field. All graduates will be checked to see that they are not carrying items that might destroy the dignity of the ceremony. Students are to only have their cap, gown and car keys if needed. Students may not carry a cell phone. Parents are encouraged to assist us in relaying this message to their student.
5:30 p.m. - Commencement exercises. Tickets will be provided to graduates for their family - eight (8) tickets per graduate. In case of rain, the graduation ceremony will be held in our main gym, and only the 4 tickets marked rain will be honored. All eight tickets will be honored at Wildcat Stadium. Commencement highlights the school year for the entire community. It is a formal ceremony which is very important to students, teachers, and parents. Students and guests are asked to refrain from activities that detract from the dignity and significance of commencement. Any student “suspected of using or having used alcohol or any controlled substance” will not be permitted to participate in commencement. Parents are asked to remain in their seats until all graduates have exited. At the conclusion of the ceremony, students will exit the field and return to the assembly area and then released to join their families.
Please note the following items will NOT be allowed into the stadium: balloons, air horns and other noisemakers, ice chest, coolers, picnics or free standing chairs.
We want all families to have the opportunity to hear their child’s name being read.
For your convenience Grad Nite 2020 will be operating a snack bar with drinks and snack items.

Senior Grad-Nite Party - BOHS Campus. Please go to www.bohsgradnite.com for detailed information and to purchase tickets. This event is for BOHS and BCHS GRADUATING SENIORS ONLY - no dates or guests are allowed. Grad-Nite t-shirts will be distributed at the commencement practice to those who have purchased a ticket. This t-shirt is your “ticket” for admission. Dress is casual. Ticket price includes all food, inter-active games, and entertainment. NO extra money is needed. DO NOT bring purses, backpacks or yearbooks.
Grad-Nite is a drug and alcohol free celebration. Any student “suspected of using or having used alcohol or any controlled substance” will not be permitted to remain at Grad-Nite. The Grad-Nite fee will NOT be refunded to anyone sent home because of drinking or use of other substances.
