Global Information Technology Academy (GITA)
The Global IT Academy (GITA) at Brea Olinda High School is a four-year AP/Honors computer science pathway that prepares students for college and technology careers. Founded in 2005, GITA immerses students in programming, software development, and digital ethics. GITA 1 introduces C# and Visual Studio fundamentals. GITA 2 (AP Computer Science Principles) explores algorithms, data, cyber safety, and web design. GITA 3 (UC Honors) focuses on interactive web and game development using p5.js. GITA 4 (AP Computer Science A) advances into Java, object-oriented programming, and algorithmic problem-solving. Together, these courses foster creativity, technical mastery, and critical thinking.
