PSAT- 10/26 Minimum Day Schedule

Greeting Wildcat Families,

Brea Olinda High School will be administering the PSAT to sophomores and juniors for FREE on Tuesday, October 26, 2021! All sophomores and juniors will be taking the PSAT for FREE, while all freshmen and seniors will be attending class as usual following a minimum day bell schedule. School will end at 12:05pm. Test takers will end the day at approximately 12:10pm.

The PSAT will provide students the opportunity to measure their college readiness against all students in the same grades across the country. Results from the PSAT are powerful planning tools for promoting college readiness and college planning. The PSAT also helps identify Advanced Placement (AP) potential, and BOUSD will be able to use the results to encourage students to attempt honors and AP courses at Brea Olinda High School.

Brea Olinda Unified School District (BOUSD) aims to expand opportunities for college and career readiness this year for all students, so funding and time to support administering the PSAT to all 10th and 11th graders for free were included in the BOUSD 2019-20 Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).

Please see below for the section that relates to your student, as this message is comprehensive for the whole day, and we thank you for sharing this information with your student.
