A brief biography about Mrs. Barcelona
¡Hola! Hello! Another exciting school year has begun at Brea-Olinda High School. Here is a short biography about me. I grew up in the San Joaquin Valley in a small agricultural Spanish-speaking community. After high school, I attended UC Santa Cruz where I met my husband. I graduated with a degree in Language Studies and later pursued a Masters degree in Education. I am a native Spanish-speaker and love to share the Spanish language and Latin-American culture with my students. I have two children. My oldest graduated from CSUF and my daughter attends CalPoly Pomona. The Barcelona family is a tri-cultural Filipino-Mexican American family. We enjoy singing karaoke, playing various instruments, spending time at the beach and having fun together.
