Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year!
I'm excited to begin my 25th year of teaching teenagers about math. This is my 22nd year at BOHS. My email address is [email protected]
I grew up in Oceano, CA which is about 200 miles north of Los Angeles in San Luis Obispo County. I moved to Southern CA after high school to attend UCLA. I have a degree in Mathematics/Economics. I would have majored in Statistics but that was not offered at the time. I received my teaching credential and Masters Degree in Education from UCLA as well.
If students have any questions the best time for them to stop by Room 230 is at lunch on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays if they don't feel comfortable asking for help during class. Anyone can also email me or leave me a voicemail at ext 2230.
I have the pleasure of teaching AP Statistics (Periods 0, 1 and 2) this year for the 22nd year. We'll be following the college board outline for the class: Gathering Data, Analyzing Data, Probability, and Inference.

I will be teaching Algebra (Periods 3, 4, 5) this year.
This California Standards-based course is an introduction to the language and applications of algebra, it includes the development of the real number system, variable expressions, linear equations and inequalities, polynomials, special products and factoring, quadratic equations, functions and their graphs and problem solving. Passing this course is a graduation requirement for the State of California.
