Principal's Message

November 20, 2020

Wildcats,

Please take a moment to read the following updates for the week of November 30, 2020.

Vision and Hearing Screening

When we return from Thanksgiving break, vision and hearing screenings are to be conducted on all 10th-grade students. We will be offering these screenings on two separate days, Monday, November 30th, 2020 for Cohort A students and Friday, December 4th, 2020 for Cohort B students. Tenth-grade students will be called up from class throughout the day to be briefly screened. The two district school nurses will utilize all the COVID precautions that  BOUSD has implemented and will not have students waiting together in a large group. Please ensure your student brings their glasses or wears his or her contacts on the screening day. If your student is already under care or you do not want your student screened please fill in the bottom of this digital fillable form or return a hard copy of this form to the BOHS front office prior to November 30th, 2020.

Distance Learners: If you would like to have your 10th grader screened for hearing and vision please bring them to campus after school Monday, November 30th, 2020, or December 4th,  2020 from 2:15 pm-3 pm. Please check-in at the BOHS  front office.

Grade Update

Please check your Aeries Parent Portal for grade updates, as progress reports were submitted by teachers on Monday, November 16, 2020. At this time, the Aeries App does not seem to be working correctly. The first semester (Fall 2020) ends on December 17th. Please connect with your teacher and counselor if you have any questions.

Semester Finals

Please check the following link for our Fall 2020 Final's schedule. It is important to note that December 18th is a non-student day, so we are removing the Distance Learning Day on Wednesday 12/16.  Wednesday (12/16) will be a Cohort-A day and Thursday (12/17) will be a Cohort B-day. Students on Distance Learning will remain on Distance Learning and take their final exams from home.

I hope that everyone has a chance to spend some time with family and/or friends next week.

Sincerely,

Josh Porter, Ed.D

Principal, BOHS
